HTG began in 2000 in a small Iowa town by Arlin Sorensen, whose intentional living, strong faith and integrity still steer the company almost 20 years later. Today, HTG is an international consulting, coaching and peer group organization that cultivates success by igniting personal, leadership, business and legacy transformation.

Our services include face-to-face peer groups with quarterly meetings, coaching and consulting services, and financial coaching for business owners, and sales and service executives.

Members navigate their journey with world-class HTG consultants and facilitators who value sharing wisdom, providing accountability and building meaningful relationships, Igniting Transformation® every step of the way.

Membership in HTG offers MSP’s an environment to share ideas and learn best practices for growing their businesses responsibly and profitably. Peer groups are broken down into owners, sales executives, or service executives and are focused on topics such as leadership, management, sales and marketing, employee relations, managed services, and vendor engagement. Conducted face-to-face, HTG peer groups provide a confidential and transformative environment for personal and professional growth.
These groups are a place where knowledgeable professionals focus on critical foundations, including:

  • Improving leadership and management skills
  • Gaining strategies for sustainable growth
  • Creating personalized plans for business, leadership, life and legacy
  • Engaging and growing your relationship with industry vendors
  • Developing management teams and leaders
  • Learning hiring practices, checklists and onboarding processes
  • Implementing service team processes, metrics and KPIs
  • Applying Service Leadership Index benchmarking and metrics

“All of the work surrounding HTG is focused on MSPs (i.e. Meetings, Coaching & Consulting, Vendor Membership Program).

Just one example of a direct connection — the Vendor Membership Program — would be approximately 2,000 employee hours and $150,000 annually. This program connects vendors with MSPs from North America, EMEA, and APAC in order to build relationships with decision makers of key, mature partners found in HTG members.

Vendor members also receive marketing and communications support from our team, vendor-specific web pages on the HTG HUB, participation in quarterly meeting ‘Lunch & Learns’ and much more.

“One of the lessons I’ve learned through HTG is that ‘working hard in the business doesn’t actually build value.’ As part of our peer group, we focus on the 4 Plans – Life, Leadership, Business, and Legacy. Through those detailed plans, I was able to build value and grow my business from 10 employees back in 2010 to 32 last quarter (Q4 2017), more than double the revenue of the business, and now have a business worth four times what it was worth several years ago.

“I recently received an offer on my business that aligned with my ultimate goals and legacy plan that I had in place. I was able to close on that transaction last month (12/17).

“HTG Peer Groups has been a tremendous impact on my life. Arlin, the entire Leadership Team — I really can’t thank them all enough for everything that they’ve done for me, for my family, for my employees, for their families, for our clients. I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience with HTG Peer Groups.”
