Heartland Technology Consultants (HTC), a consulting group serving small and mid-sized IT solution providers and IT vendor companies, is pleased to announce a new addition to its team. Brad Schow has joined HTC as a senior consultant, and from his new position will be helping solution providers, as well as the vendors who supply them, overcome barriers to their growth.
Schow brings a wealth of experience to HTC, having worked for the past 20 years at Compudyne in Duluth, Minnesota. He began his career as a technician there and over the years has worn many hats, including technical support, service manager, general manager, and COO/president. Most recently, Schow held the position of CVO (Chief Visionary Officer), a role in which he built a framework for account management while developing a virtual CIO role.
"We are excited to have Brad join our team at HTC," commented Arlin Sorensen, HTC CEO and founder. “We have been searching for an experienced veteran who has a proven track record and has led an organization through a period of sustained growth. The opportunity to have Brad join our team is a real blessing and comes at a very opportune time. His knowledge is invaluable in creating offerings that help solution providers build their companies and that will propel them to the next level.”
HTC was formed in 2009 to serve the needs of IT solution providers, particularly as a place for those companies to receive assistance in overcoming complex challenges that hamper sustained business growth. HTC’s strategy for 2012 and beyond is to build a team of consultants to meet that objective. Brad is the first of several hires that HTC plans in creating the strong team of expert consultants the mission requires.
Todd Sieger, current President/COO at Compudyne, said, “While it’s always difficult to lose a leader like Brad, we understood that he was ready to move on to a new challenge — based on his personal and professional desires. We are glad he has joined the team at Heartland and will still be serving companies like ours in the IT industry. Brad has a passion to help people grow and become strong leaders. In HTC, he has found an excellent place to continue to make a difference in our industry. We wish him and, his wife, Robyn the very best in their new responsibilities.”
Schow and his bride will be relocating to Harlan, Iowa (headquarters for HTC). He said “I’ve been blessed to experience all facets of the IT business. I’m honored to have the opportunity to help Arlin through HTC, as he looks to continue his leadership in our industry. As hard as it was to leave Compudyne, I knew it was time to move on. I am so excited to be joining a wonderful team with a mission to change the way small IT businesses are served”.
