Reseller peer groups organization Heartland Technology Groups is planning to add to its CEO Forum event for 2010, growing from one group into multiple branches focused on finding future paths for solution providers.

While HTG members get together regularly, quarterly with their sub-groups and twice annually for HTG-wide big tent meetings, Groups founder Arlin Sorensen said there’s a distinct value to getting together top channel leaders with an entirely different focus to the operational excellence and day-to-day business focus of HTG writ large.

“We were finding that a lot of our time during our traditional meetings was spent looking backwards,” Sorensen said. “We were getting good at analyzing financials, working with goals and focusing on execution, but not spending enough time looking forward.”
