Christy Sacco – Director of Operations
Christy Sacco came to Heartland Technologies Group (HTG) with two decades of IT industry experience. As director of operations for HTG, her responsibilities include managing HTG events, directing the organization’s operations, marketing and media relations as well as corporate communications.

Previously, Christy was vice president of corporate relations for ConnectWise, a Tampa, Fla.-based professional services software company. In this role, Christy oversaw the company's marketing and public relations and also held primary responsibility content development and logistics for its annual ConnectWise Partner Summit event, which is widely recognized as the industry’s largest face-to-face gathering of managed services providers.

Prior to joining ConnectWise in 2005, Christy held a variety of sales and marketing positions with the world’s second largest IT distributor, Tech Data Corporation. Initially hired by Tech Data as a sales representative in 1990, Christy was promoted to supervisor of the company’s Northwest Region in 1995, and promoted again, less than a year later, to manage the Southwest Region. Consistently exceeding sales goals and business objectives, Christy was frequently named to Tech Data's exclusive President's and Executive Clubs and was also honored as Latin America Sales Manager of the Year.

Later, as manager of reseller relations for Tech Data's TechSelect organization — a membership-based community of value-added resellers (VARs) focused on the small and midsized business market — Christy was responsible for member recruiting and program development. Other marketing responsibilities during her tenure with Tech Data included supervision of Tech Data's TeleSMART program, managing Tech Data's Outsourcing Sales & Services division, and involvement in the implementation of a $2 billion annual contract — Tech Data's largest outsourcing deal of its kind at the time.

Christy received her bachelor's degree in Professional and Technical Writing from the University of South Florida. Additionally, she is fluent in Spanish and was raised in the Republic of Panama. Christy lives in Tampa, Fla. with her husband Mark. They enjoy traveling and are avid Tampa Bay Buccaneer fans.
