Arlin Sorensen – Founder and CEO

The path of Arlin Sorensen’s career transitions from one of mankind’s very earliest occupations to an industry that’s almost synonymous with the modern age. Having grown up on the family farm near Harlan, Iowa, Arlin graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Farm Operations, and in 1977 — with his wife, Nancy — began farming. Then in 1982, Arlin purchased his first computer (an Apple II+) for use in his operation and the farm boy was permanently smitten by the technology bug.

Scott Scrogin – President

With experience as an instructor and having first-hand knowledge of putting theory into practice, Scott Scrogin brings perhaps the perfect background to his role as president of the HTG Peer Groups (HTG)—a 270 member international IT solution provider peer group organization focused on management practices, performance improvement and life-work excellence.

Christy Sacco – Director of Operations

Christy Sacco came to HTG Peer Groups (HTG) with two decades of IT industry experience. As director of operations for HTG, her responsibilities include managing HTG events, directing the organization’s operations, marketing and media relations as well as corporate communications.

Ken Shetler - Director of Strategic Relationships

Ken’s HTG Peer Group (HTG) responsibilities are focused on cultivating vendor partnerships and other strategic relationships that are critical to the organization’s overall success. His prior experience has brought him a unique combination of skills, including market analysis acumen, business development and operations expertise, plus a highly effective communications style.

Laurie Sorensen – Executive Assistant to the CEO
Laurie Sorensen serves as a shared services provider for the Heartland Family of Companies (HTS Ag, HTG Peer Groups, and Heartland Leadership Group).  She serves both as the CEO’s executive assistant for all three companies as well as the Director of Communications for HLG.
